T Baden Hardstaff Limited Wins Prestigious Nottingham Evening Post, Environmental Business Award
T. Baden Hardstaff, pioneer of Natural Gas vehicle technologies and specialist exhaust after-treatments, was named as a winner in this years Nottingham Evening Post Business Awards 2003 in the Nottingham Environmental Business Award category, for its outstanding contributions in bringing low emission heavy-duty trucks to the UK market.
The award supported by the Nottingham Green Partnership, was presented at the awards ceremony held at the University of Nottingham on Tuesday 24th June by Bob Warman, Carlton Television presenter.
Natural Gas dual-fuel technology is incorporated into a Caterpillar electronically controlled diesel engine powering Foden Trucks and produces substantially less pollutants than engines burning diesel alone, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 25%, nitrogen oxides by more than a third and particulates by a massive 92%.
“This is extremely exciting to us to have won the award and a great achievement which wouldn’t have been made possible without the exceptional contributions from all the Hardstaff team”, commented Trevor Fletcher, Managing Director. “The award is a clear message of recognition for viable alternative fuels that reduce regulated pollutants and protect our future environment”.
Bray Security Services and Experian were also finalists for this category award.
